Famous Friday: Kate Bosworth

So, I recently decided to look up Kate Bosworth's street style on Pinterest. I know, super super random, but I was just wondering what she was looking like nowadays. Considering, I only ever think of her whenever I'm scrolling through channels and Blue Crush happens to be on. I used to love that movie. I never really thought of Kate Bosworth as super fashionable, but I found myself pleasantly surprised. She has such a great style. I'm kind of in love. That's why this Friday's Famous Friday, is going to Kate Bosworth. She still has her relaxed Cali girl style, but she also knows how to pull off a polished look. Kate seems to wear a lot of basic pieces, that anyone can get a hold of no matter how small of a budget they have. But, she keeps her outfits from looking boring by layering different items, playing with different textures, and playing with prints. I'm so glad that I decided to stalk her on Pinterest, because I'm totally going to be keeping an eye on her.

I love this relaxed outfit. It's perfect for just running around town doing errands.

I love this look, because of the different prints in the outfit, the fact that she used a pop of color, and that she layered with a vest. The added touch of the vest, seemed make the outfit more her style, which is always important.

This outfit is my favorite! (I mean duh) I'm in love with the leather motorcycle jacket, that has detail paneling on the shoulders. I just love how BA she looks.

Fashion A to Z: B is for Blush

Spring is almost here! I am so so so excited, because according to a post of Facebook I saw today, only 26 more days until spring for Philly! So, I figured this would be the perfect time to post about wearing blush for spring. This color is going to be huge for the up and coming spring season. It just seems to embody what spring is. Well, at least to me. I find that since spring is the time of year, that the snow that has turned brown (yuck) melts away and the flowers are finally blooming, that it just brings out my super girly side. I mean, my girly side is always out, but I mean it's the perfect time to break out the pastels, and not feel like a child getting ready for Easter service. That's why blush is super perfect. It's the perfect shade of pink, that you can totally wear without feeling that way. Also, if you're not a huge fan of pastels, this is the perfect pink for you. The shades vary from a pastel to more of a powdery pink. I'm just so excited, that I'm probably going to wear a blush pink shirt tomorrow, to help give me a pick me up for this blah weather.

This outfit is so adorable! I love the pink jeans (I totally need to pick up a pair) paired with the white and cream, it's probably one of my favorite color combinations. This outfit would be great to wear to go shopping with the girls or even for a lunch date with someone special.

I'm totally in love with this outfit! The shape of the dress and just how it falls on her frame, is just perfection. I also love how she wore black tights and the black wedge booties with this. It makes the outfit look more like it's for fall, which shows how the dress is very versatile.

This outfit is totally perfect for when you do want to wear blush pink, but want to go for a more edgy look. I, of course, love the leather pants paired with the satin top, and how it's topped off with the blush pink blazer. This would be totally get to wear for going out.

Fashion A to Z: A is for Ankle Boots

Ankle boots are a fun staple that every girl should try and have in their closet. They are super super versatile and are perfect for every season. Ankle boots can be worn running to the grocery store or a night out on the town with your girlfriends. I love that you can easily wear them during any season, since you can pair them with jeans, shorts, dresses, or skirts. Basically, whatever your little heart desires. Also, no worries if you have short legs (you can trust me on this, I'm only 5 foot) you can totally make ankle boots work, without making your legs look like stumps. Just make sure that you snag a pair that hits just at your ankle bone, that way it doesn't end up cutting off your legs, making them appear any shorter. Or if you don't want to do that, grab a pair in black and pair them with black tights or black pants. Below are a few examples of some great ways to wear ankle boots.

I love these ankle boots for winter, because they're practical to wear when it's slippy outside.

This outfit is perfect for fall. I'm obsessed with the oxblood jeans paired with the tan ankle boots. It's such a great color combination.

This is by far my favorite look. I love the plaid button up, with the fur vest effortlessly tossed over, topped off with the cream infinity scarf, and completed with the ankle boots. This is the ultimate transition season outfit. It's super cute for running errands or catching up with friends during brunch.

Fur Vests

A fur vest is the perfect addition to anyone's closet. They are so versatile, they can work during any season and work with anyone's wardrobe. For winter, they are especially great for layering over your favorite sweater, oxford, or dress. I love fur vests to add different textures to outfits and adding an unexpected twist. You can, honestly, throw a fur vest over any outfit and have it look fabulous. I personally haven't been able to find the perfect fur vest that fits my college budget, until now! Bellow are some fantastic vests, that can fit even the tiniest budget.

If you're a little stuck on exactly how to style a fur vest, no worries, it's actually pretty simple! Here are a few of my favorite outfits below.

I love how she played with different textures for her outfit. The leather pants are amazing paired with the animal print ankle boots. This outfit can easily be taken from day to night, which is always a huge plus.

This outfit is perfect for fall. I love all of the layering here and how she just tossed it over a jean jacket. This shows that you can do different combinations that you might not have thought of.

I'm a sucker for a leather motorcycle jacket and paired with a fur vest, I think my heart just skipped a beat. This outfit is my favorite, because of the layering with the lace dress, motorcycle jacket, and fur vest. It's such a perfect outfit to wear for the winter.
