Put You Best Foot Forward

I have never been a huge fan of sneakers. My mom would have to fight with me to buy them when I was younger, because I just didn't like the looks of them (unless they were the slip on sneakers, because they were so in style). I can't really even say I really own any sneakers, now that I'm older and my mom doesn't buy my clothes anymore. They only sneakers I own are either my old Nfinity's from my all star cheerleading days, which I still use to do my every few month's work outs in, or my two converse sneakers. What I wear in replace of sneakers, are my Sperry's. I've never really found sneakers to be fashionable, including the high top wedges, I was never truly a fan. But, the tides are changing. I've been seeing some super cute sneakers out there, now that they've been spotted on the runways and people even wore them to Fashion Week. The trend is actually growing on me, surprisingly. I'm on the fencer about picking up a pair, and if I do, I  feel like it'll end up being something low cut and floral. I really do want to step out of my comfort zone this year and try something new. So, who knows? They may end up being my go to shoes.

This look is so great and unexpected, which makes it better. I  love that this would typically be paired with a pair of sky high heels or booties. I also love the fact that she went all out, because she definitely could have went with a black pair instead of the attention grabbing blue. She made sure that her sneakers are the spotlight of her outfit, and they certainly are.

I feel like for this outfit, the leather pants make it cool, but the white sneakers paired with it, makes it even cooler. I never really associated sneakers with the word chic, until now. This totally gives me hope.

This is the perfect example to show that you can totally pair sneakers with a super girly outfit. I feel that since she paired the skirt with the sneakers, it makes the outfit even more unique than it already is. I'm also really glad that she went with a more athletic sneaker, than a tennis shoe.

Fashion A to Z: C is for Cape

So, I think I'm totally going to take the dive and get a cape. This is something that I've been on the fence about, for probably year. I've been seeing them everywhere for the past few months, and after going on Pinterest and seeing how adorable they look, that was the shove I needed. Capes are perfect to wear during fall and during the cooler months of spring. You might even be able to get away with it during winter, depending on how thick it is, and how warm the weather would be that day. I feel like capes are just the perfect thing to wear. I'm not even sure why, but they just seem right. And totally like the the perfect chic alternative to a jacket.

I love the combination of the cape and floppy hat. It just makes the girl look so mysterious. I'm also in love with her rolled leather pants.

This outfit is just darling. I love the camel color of the cape, because you can easily wear it with any outfit and you can wear it any season. I love the black, navy, and orange combo in the print of the dress.

I love love love that this is tweed and double breasted. This makes the cape look even more interesting and reminds me of a blazer I had in high school. This would be totally perfect to wear during fall.

Fashion A to Z: B is for Blush

Spring is almost here! I am so so so excited, because according to a post of Facebook I saw today, only 26 more days until spring for Philly! So, I figured this would be the perfect time to post about wearing blush for spring. This color is going to be huge for the up and coming spring season. It just seems to embody what spring is. Well, at least to me. I find that since spring is the time of year, that the snow that has turned brown (yuck) melts away and the flowers are finally blooming, that it just brings out my super girly side. I mean, my girly side is always out, but I mean it's the perfect time to break out the pastels, and not feel like a child getting ready for Easter service. That's why blush is super perfect. It's the perfect shade of pink, that you can totally wear without feeling that way. Also, if you're not a huge fan of pastels, this is the perfect pink for you. The shades vary from a pastel to more of a powdery pink. I'm just so excited, that I'm probably going to wear a blush pink shirt tomorrow, to help give me a pick me up for this blah weather.

This outfit is so adorable! I love the pink jeans (I totally need to pick up a pair) paired with the white and cream, it's probably one of my favorite color combinations. This outfit would be great to wear to go shopping with the girls or even for a lunch date with someone special.

I'm totally in love with this outfit! The shape of the dress and just how it falls on her frame, is just perfection. I also love how she wore black tights and the black wedge booties with this. It makes the outfit look more like it's for fall, which shows how the dress is very versatile.

This outfit is totally perfect for when you do want to wear blush pink, but want to go for a more edgy look. I, of course, love the leather pants paired with the satin top, and how it's topped off with the blush pink blazer. This would be totally get to wear for going out.
